As a Data Governance Lead, you aim to be the guarantor of the mapping of the data used and processed in the various projects and applications managed within the department.
Your activities will mainly be:
Deliver the data dictionaries used in the various projects, make them available / accessible
Provide means to carry out data quality studies (profiling),
Be the contact of Business Data Owners and Data Stewards to answer questions about data (purge rules in place, user access, etc.)
Alert if there is no Business Data Owner / Data Steward / lack of data governance by the business lines
Ensure the relationship with the people in charge of defining the data architecture in the different entities of the group (Corporate Center for example)
Ensure the consistency and relevance of the data architecture choices in the various projects managed within the department
Follow the technological innovations of the market around data management and be proactive
Coming from a higher education such as a business school, engineer or university equivalent. The profile must demonstrate operational experience of 5 years of data experience.
He must also:
Master the main concepts of data governance and data management
Master the tools and concepts of master data management
Being able to popularize and explain the processes / tools around data management
Have a spirit of innovation and curiosity
