Galileo and Egnos systems are part of Europe's Global Satellite Navigation System (GNSS) providing positioning, timing information and safety of life (integrity) services.
Galileo will consist in Full Operational Capability (FOC) of 30 satellites in 2020 and all the associated ground infrastructure providing navigation and timing services.
Egnos, the European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service is Europe's regional satellite-based augmentation system (SBAS) used to improve the performance of GPS and Galileo, provides safety of life navigation services to aviation, maritime and land-based users over most of Europe.
The European Spatial Agency (ESA) in coordination with the European Commission and the GNSS Agency (GSA) is preparing the Galileo Second Generation (G2G) while SBAS opportunity like Egnos outside Europe are becoming reality.
This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
