Description du poste / stage

A vacancy for a Physical measurement Engineer for flight test installation has arisen within Airbus (Commercial Aircraft) in Toulouse.
You will join Sensors department within Test instrumentation Component Department.

Within the flight test domain, the 'Test Instrumentation Components' Department specifies designs, develops, verifies and supports all instrumentation for flight test installations for all aircraft programs.

You will join a team of 18 persons.
You will be in charge of development and in service support of instrumentation in aeronautical physical measurements: Pressure, stress, temperature, vibration, gaz analysis, displacement...
You will be deeply involved in innovation and research project looking for latest technology to be applied for the future.

Tâches et missions principales, responsabilités

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Drive projects and developments of new instrumentations with internal and external suppliers.
  • Integrate and validate new tests means
  • Ensure a high level of reliability and availability of the complete set of flight test means under his/her responsibility.
  • Drive the innovation by implementing for instance new technologies from external market (IoT, MEMS, Wireless, Harvesting, Nanotechnologies, BigData Connectivity and smart objects ...)
  • Manage interfaces with many internal and external actors: Design office, architects, test specialists, flight test engineers, experts, team from other Airbus Group, competitors, worldwide suppliers, start up, research laboratories and universities…

Compétences requises

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • Educated to 5 years degree level (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in Physical measurements.
  • Experience in Analog electronics skills.
  • Digital signal processing knowledge
  • Project management
  • Innovative mind set
  • Ability to communicate easily with different interfaces
  • Dynamism
  • Language Skills: advanced level of English

You will be involved in research and development projects.

Those topics require skills for enhanced sensors implementing innovative technologies (Nano micro technologies and innovative devices coming from consumer market).
