YOUR contribution

Context

The Contracts Team at GEM is looking for an intern to support it’s operational activities and projects.

Starting date: ASAP

Working Place: Courbevoie, Paris

Duration: 6 months 

 
Role
  • Play a central role in the demand process by being in contact with market data prescribers from any GEM activities (Front Office, Risk, Support activities) and ensure :
    • The respect of the validations steps,
    • The coordination with IT Support,
    • Appropriate & relevant accesses to market data are provided on time,
  • Assist Contracts Team in the update of the tools used to monitor market data accesses
  • Regular Budget Follow-up
  • Support Contracts Team in the market data procurement process for the implementation of new market data contracts or the renewal of the current contract in liaising with the providers/vendors, with the IT teams and with the Purchasing team.
  • Act as a facilitator for the external reporting toward GEM Management & Market Data Sponsor and for the external reporting toward providers, vendors & exchange
  • Help Contracts Team to structure and formalize processes in order to identify and monitor residual risks in a complex functional, IT, Legal, operational organization
  • Contribute to Contracts Team analysis in connection with the procurement process, the IS organization/structure for market data provision

STRENGHS OF THE INTERNSHIP

  • A transversal and proactive role in connection with all GEM divisions in order to provide a high quality market data services
  • Discover in depth market data functions in a commodity trading environment
  • Play a central role in GEM transformations by providing solutions to optimize market data costs (opex) and cover new business needs in term of data.

About YOU

Hard skills
  • At ease with Excels & PowerPoint. Knowledge in Agile methodologies and Office 360 (Sway, Power BI…etc) is a plus
  • Interest for market activities/trading environments, new technologies and digital innovations
  • Fluent in English

Soft skills
  • Organized, methodic and rigorous in his approaches of the topics

  • Analytical, synthetically mind

  • Autonomous, ability to manage priorities and take responsabilities

  • Promote team spirit and collaboration
  • Positive attitude , reactivity, creativity, initiative, ability to cope with tight deadlines


Education and professional background
  • Master 1/2 in a business school/University with a content in business administration, legal, economics and good skills in digital and innovations topics
