An internship in the Characterisation of FDM-deposited titanium alloy (M/F) has become available at Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse.
The successful applicant will join the team in the 'Materials and Processes' department dedicated to the manufacturing engineering of metal parts by 3D printing. The team is particularly responsible for the development of innovative processes (e.g. automated deposition of titanium on parts to obtain a result as close to the dimensions as possible) by analysing the influence of parameters on microstructures and defining optimal parameters. This research work relates to all Airbus aircraft programmes.
In collaboration with the laboratory at the St Eloi site, your main tasks will be to understand the manufacturing processes of these parts and analyse them in the laboratory to define the influence of parameters on the microstructure.
This six-month internship will start in January 2018 (date subject to flexibility).
