You will join a fast-paced group with the unique and rewarding opportunity to shape upcoming products from Apple. As the leader you will own the development of algorithms and ranking systems that drive the quality experience of Siri Search features that are integrated throughout out Apple products, including Siri, Spotlight, Safari, Lookup, Messages. You will lead and grow a team of data scientists, machine learning specialists, and infrastructure engineers. As an App Store Editor for France you will be tasked with ensuring all apps selected for featuring and promotion are tested and scrutinised to the highest standards. Critical to this position is your ability to find great new apps, which best express the App Store’s editorial voice and are consistent with the Apple brand. You have the right fit if you live and breathe apps. We expect you to have expertise in mobile applications, hands-on experience editorialising software, a deep understanding of good user-interface design principles, an eye for design, experience working with a content management system, and a real passion for the quickly evolving space of apps. You will be responsible for working with various internal teams to own the schedule of app releases and prepare the selection of featured apps on a weekly basis. You use metrics and the best methodologies to look at the App Store performance and be able to provide editorial plans and insight as a result. You will contribute in identifying new market trends, editorial opportunities as well as key relationships to be developed. To drive improvement in side channel test benches, you will analyse devices up to the full realisation of attacks. We also build evaluations on software as well as hardware, from the basic cryptographic blocks to the high level applications. Our work relies on your ability to quickly familiarize yourself with code you’ve never seen before. By understanding the pertinent functionality, we use state of the art equipment to probe test features, from the preliminary design specifications to the end products. You will be self directed, analytical, and work well in a team environment. Comfortable working at math level on cryptographic primitives you will work on a range of products including embedded technologies. Based in Paris, we are passionate about security and work closely with cryptographers and developers across Apple. Apple is seeking a Senior Manager of Communications in France. This role will develop and implement a focused PR strategy to proactively communicate Apple’s contribution to France and wider society, focused on key areas such as our economic contribution, education, customer privacy, support for developers and our dedication to the environment. The role will also lead on issues management for France.
Build and implement strategic plans that support the overall business priorities. Proactively manage media coverage focused on Apple’s values and key corporate programs. Build and maintain relationships with key national and regional business and political media. Work collaboratively with the wider PR team in Europe/worldwide and cross functional teams to build and maintain relationships important for success in the role. Identify and manage issues, escalating as required. Provide timely reporting on all aspects relevant to the role and manage overall budget. Domestic and international travel is required.
