A vacancy for a Fastening System Engineer has arisen within Airbus in Toulouse. You will join the Fastening Systems department and will act as a technical specialist as part of a transnational Team of engineers within the Materials, Processes & Tests, subdomain 'Assembly Technologies'.
The role will require close cooperation within the team as well as with our customers and stakeholders such as Design, Stress, Procurement, Manufacturing, Customer Services and Suppliers.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
¤ The definition and lead of qualification test programmes
¤ Analysing and publishing qualification- and test data in order to verify the structural performance of fastening system technologies
¤ Leading and managing R&T projects in the fastening systems perimeter
¤ Providing engineering inputs into product and process specifications
¤ Preparing technical documentations such as test/qualification documents, memorandum, reports and specifications in order to communicate technical requirements and outputs
¤ Providing fastening systems technologies support to other Airbus departments, suppliers and customers.
Major accountabilities are:
¤ Developing and deploying fastening systems technology in accordance with the technical strategy,
¤ Ensuring the safety and structural integrity of all products and processes under remit of control,
¤ Managing and delivering national and transnational technical projects to Time, Cost & Quality (TCQ).
This role will involve some travel for business, approximately once a month, and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
