Description du poste / stage

A vacancy for ‘Business Project Leader Authoring’ (H/F) positions has arisen within Airbus in Blagnac. You will join the SLUDO – Upgrades Production Operations department.

You will act in the frame of Service Bulletin & Material Production with 5 product lines worldwide, approx. 200 internal FTE, 3 main external suppliers. You will also contribute to the production of numerous and complex SBs with associated kits and have Huge number of interfaces within SLU & SLUD & Stakeholders.

You will be accountable to drive, determine and manage all activities related to the
Process Methods and Tools support on Service Bulletin (SB) Authoring, change and improvement in SLU department.

The main role of the Business Project Leader is to secure that all Service Bulletin (SB) production activities endorsed within SLU are applied in respect with Airbus rules, and that all process/skills training/tools means are available for allowing SLU product Lines to produce.

Tâches et missions principales, responsabilités

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include to:

  • Represents SLU, as Process Operator Manager (POM) on SU.EC.02 “Provide Service Bulletin and Monitor Vendor Service Bulletin Approval or Acceptance”.
  • Coordinate the preparation of SLU contribution to PMT reviews and workshops. Prepare and present KPIs ; action plan status; major feedbacks from the operators,
  • Participate to PMT SU.EC.02 reviews led by Process owner (SEMB) as SLU representative.

Through whole SLU production lines (France, Germany, USA, and any future Production Center),

  • Lead action plan resulting from PMT reviews and workshops,
  • Secure proof reading process of all related documentation update: distribute to SLU key users network, organize feedback collection, lead internal SLU analysis; argue SLU feedback with documentation owner,
  • Ensure cascade of PMT evolutions, secure transversal consistency on PMT application, measure application robustness; by any relevant mean : Trainings, Go-Look-See, supporting Audits, documentation update, etc.…
  • Capture of feedback from working level
  • Identify and collect in SLUD production lines : the deviation vs process, the gaps on skills & competences, the operational issues on process & tools,
  • deploy and follow action plan or projects; in line with SLUB, SLUE or other stakeholders, when applicable ,
  • Support Quality Project to secure Q6 implementation on Authoring activities
  • Participate to SB Guide meeting: collect and analyses SB Guide deviation, share improvements and modifications and present new issues.
  • Supports SLU Production teams on Authoring activities
  • Organize support to internal user’s (Production Lines) requests
  • Organize support to external (subcontractors) user’s request, using Authoring Technical Representative network in these companies
  • Organize Incoming Inspection on SB Authoring ( supported by an external company)
  • When needed he/she can validate the answer to request or incoming inspection; and/or refer to Process owner.
  • Collect user’s major feedback, to cascade to Process owner and propose/decide improvements
  • Be the local trainer on SLU trainings dealing with SBs
  • Supports SLU Production teams on Authoring tools
  • Organize support to internal user’s (Production Lines) requests
  • Organize support to external (subcontractors) user’s request, using Authoring Technical Representative network in these companies
  • Support deployment of New Tools, or of tools changes
  • When needed he/she can validate the answer to request; and/or refer to Tool owner and ensure people know and use specific tool support organization (generic e-mail…)
  • Collect user’s major feedback, to cascade to Tool owner and propose/decide improvements
  • Manage incidents: analysis, follow-up and put in place improvements
  • Participates actively to his/her mission development :

In order to apply on an effective way his/her mission, the job holder will have to coordinate remotely some local focal points in Hamburg and Mobile; and also to manage external supporting resources.
He/she will ensure communication and reporting on his/her activity : present regular progress status to SLU management; continuously propose & argue improvements and initiative.
He/she will deploy LEAN approach to solve and improve continuously Production, by eliminating waste activities, improving productivity, ease Product Lines members’ daily job.
He/she will continuously support the update and development of SLUD Handbook & job cards
New PLM Group development Coordinator
In case of further future new additional SLUD PLM group needs in line with SLU development strategy, SLUDO will be in charge to set up project road map with all associated means.

Compétences requises

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Educated to a 5-year degree level (or equivalent) in engineering with interest for sales, or sales with interest for engineering, or marketing or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Marketing / Sales / Customer Services.
  • A first experience in engineering would be appreciated.
  • Experienced as SB Author (2 years practice minimum)
  • General technical understanding of Airbus services.
  • At ease with digital technologies (apps development, HUB, websites…).
  • MS Office,
  • Communication skills.
  • Pedagogy.
  • Creative and curious.
  • Ability to simplify complex issues and communicate.
  • Ability to convince other stakeholders and get their buy in.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • English : negotiation level.
  • An advanced level of French would be a plus.
